Visit a historic anchovy factory in L’Escala and explore its tradition through an interactive museum tour with audioguide, followed by a tasting of local delicacies.
Discover the authentic taste and tradition of L’Escala through a unique visit to one of the oldest anchovy factories in the region. Housed in a historic 19th-century building, the Anchovy Heritage Museum offers an engaging, self-guided tour that blends local culture, history, and gastronomy.
The visit includes access to multimedia exhibits and audiovisuals that showcase how anchovies were — and still are — prepared using traditional methods. You’ll learn about the evolution of the craft through five generations of anchovy masters, while walking through preserved salting areas.
To complete the experience, relax on the outdoor terrace and enjoy a small tasting of the factory’s signature anchovies and products.
